Main activities
This report is the result of the project task scoped under the framework of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The project partners throughout the entire project timeline have been Maritime Clean Tech (Norway), World Maritime University (Sweden), SSPA (Sweden), Danish Ports (Denmark) and Danish Maritime (Denmark). Furthermore, Icelandic New Energy Ltd. (Iceland) and PowerCon have kindly contributed as advisors.
It is based on a collaborative effort by individual universities, institutions, and organisations in the Nordic countries. Because of the pandemic no physical project meetings have been held, fortunately online meetings have been possible. Additionally, Danish Maritime have as project leader participated in a general interview and presented to other Nordic project consortia under the framework of Nordic Mobility Mission.
Finally, and to conclude this joint international task and to share knowledge and findings from this project, a presentation was given on 17 September 2021 at an international conference in the Danish Parliament Christiansborg in Copenhagen. The Conference title is Onshore power supply for ships – the way to a greener future. On this occasion several partners from this project participated and Dr. Fabio Ballini, World Maritime University Sweden, on behalf of our consortium presented the outcomes from this research and the conclusions from this work.
