Changes and challenges
The SWOT analysis which we undertook clearly outlines the inherent and current challenges.
The OPS technology is mature and proven however its uptake in ports has been very slow. To work on opportunities by provision of incentives combined with clear obligations in terms of directives and other regulations will accelerate investments.
In terms of the project itself, corona has made it impossible to have physical meetings. One partner Danfoss from Denmark decided to withdraw from the project and the project manager Mr. Niels Freese from Danish Maritime left this association leaving the PM task to a new Danish Maritime representative, which was obviously not ideal.
Despite these challenges all partners have delivered solid efforts and have contributed. The list of references and the enclosures previously submitted are objective evidence of their good work. Thus the project goals have despite the mentioned challenges been met.
